Does anybody remember a teacher by the name of Anola Blakeney She's my grandmother, and supposedly taught Elvis Presley English in the 8th grade. I' ve been trying to find anything I can about her. Many thanks and I've enjoyed your Web site.

Helen Lochrie is listed as a teacher at Humes in the 1954 Yearbook. She is also mentioned as a "Sponsor" of the Drama Club. Maybe someone who took speech or drama will remember her.

I was wondering if any of you know if my great aunts taught at your school. Their names were Helen and Artie. My mom's maiden name was Lochrie. I know at least one of them was married, but I can't think of her last name right now. Thanks, Laura

I attended both nights of our 55th Reunion and if you weren't there, you missed seeing everyone and those of us in attendance missed seeing you.
Many thanks to all who worked to make this Reunion a success: Betty Guy, Patty Rook, Jim and Lynn Harper, Bill and Joan Lloyd, James and Brenda Aylor, Tom and Barbara Williams and Charles and Norma Talbert. Great Job.
Wish I lived closer so I could be a part of the planning committee. I've heard about those meetings and a good time is had by all.

It is with great pleasure that the Tech Class of 1952 has "lent" you OUR Bill Lloyd to assist Joan with the reunion.
Hope you all have half the fun we did at our 55th.
I met several of your classmates the other evening, they are a great bunch.

Hey there, Only got to see you for a minute at the 50th. Hope to do better this time. Betty & Patty have been after me to send you some of my work history. After college and the army I married Nanette Hall (from Messick) this is our 50th year. We have two great sons and two grandsons. If you will click on www.gmtreleasing.com and click on the left hand side where it says GMT President, you will find some of my past history with MGM and United Artists. I have been blessed to work on some films with the Billy Graham organization and still going strong. Most recent work was with Kiefer Sutherland on a great film still to be released. Looking forward to seeing you and all the "old folks" from dear ole Humes High. Bill Barber

Have just booked my flight to Memphis for the reunion. Arriving on Wed., Jun 3. Staying with Jim and Brenda Aylor. In addition to attending the Reunion functions on Fri and Sat nites, plan on going to the Perkins Thurs morning coffee. Hope to see some of you there, especially those that aren't going to make the reunion Fri or Sat. My wife Norma was planning on comming, but unfortunately will not be able to make it. She says to tell you all she'll miss seeing you, and she has instructed me to get lots of pictures and to have a great time. See you all soon!!
